LORD, Grant Me Grace for the Journey

LORD, grant me grace,

In all I face,

To find that place,

Where you replace,

With your warm embrace,

My fruitless race,

Run at  life’s dull pace,

No more to chase,

In cluttered space,

Or deafening disgrace

Anything apart from

Your glorious Face

There is JOY in the Dance

To think that You,

God, Father and LORD,

Would dance and spin and sing,

With Joy over me,

Captures my heart,

My spirit and soul,

With profound amazement,

With awe and delight,

No love can compare

To Your lavish display,

And I am left enthralled,

With the fullness of Joy.

Gethsemane

Down shadowy lanes, across strange streams
Bridged over by our broken dreams;
Behind the misty caps of years,
Beyond the great salt fount of tears,
The garden lies. Strive as you may,
You cannot miss it on your way.
All paths that have been, or shall be,
Pass somewhere through Gethsemane.
All those who journey, soon or late,
Must pass within the garden’s gate;
Must kneel alone in darkness there,
And battle with some fierce despair.
God pity those who cannot say,
‘Not mine but thine,’ who only pray,
‘Let this cup pass,’ and cannot see
The purpose in Gethsemane.

JOY in the Creative

LORD, I feel compelled to create. I think it is the “most like God” quality that I possess. You, the Creator of all good things, have birthed in me the desire of expression. I don’t know that it matters if anyone else ever visits here, this is where I set my heart free to worship You with JOY.

My creative corner of the world.
